Horst M. Rechelbacher is the founder of Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients and a collector and dealer of art and antiques.
Rechelbacher is the founder and chairman of the Horst M. Rechelbacher Foundation, owns an art gallery (HMR Galleries) and in involved in film production.
Rechelbacher’s collection includes, among other items, a Chinese wedding bed, a collection of wooden Indian alcoves, a bronze nude, carved polychrome angels from Austria and Goa, statues of Hindu saints from India, stained glass windows, paintings by Charles Landelle and Jacques Marjorelle, and a Castiglioni lamp.
