Henry Hilton as an art collector, lawyer and judge.
Hilton purchased Meissoniers "Friedland" for $66,000, it is now owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.

Hilton was the beneficiary of A. T. Stewart after Mrs. Stewart's death in 1886.
