historical notes Frank Thomson was an art collector, president of the Thomas Iron Company, and served as a Director for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad.

Thomson’s Merion residence “Corkerhill” is reported to have contained a collection of painting and sculptures.

Thomson’s wife, Mary Elizabeth Clarke Thomson, died in 1887. They had three children: Anne, Frank Graham and Clarke.
