historical notes Frances "Francie" Lasker Brody was a philanthropist art collector and patron.

Francie and her husband Sidney Brody began collecting art in the 1950's at the urging of her father and step mother, Albert and Mary Lasker.

The couple's collection included work by Moore, Braque, Bonnard, Picasso, Giacometti, Chagall, Degas, Dufy, Matisse, Renoir and Rodin, as well as Calder mobiles, Etruscan artifacts and Japanese prints.
