A E Head was an art collector, businessman who made his millions from the mining (Comstock Lode), he was a partner of Robert F. Morrow.
According to The Art Treasures of America, Head's collection included works by Leo. Ansiglioni, Rosa Bonheur, W. A. Bouguereau, E. Caroni, A. H. Carrodi, E. Freiseleben, B. Gioja, P. Guarnerio, T. Kopt, Felix Polizzi, H. Robbe, J. Robie, Antonio Scifoni, S. Tadolini, and E. Verboeckhoven.
