historical notes David T. Buzby was an art collector and Baltimore merchant (DT Buzby & Co), who served on the National Exchange Bank Baltimore's Board of Directors.

Buzby's collection of etchings sold via American Art Galleris in April, 1906, and another portion of his collection sold via Fifth Avenue Art Galleries in New York, 1900.

According to The Art Treasures of America, David T. Buzby owned works by W. A. Bouguereau, A. Cabanel, J. Carolus, G. Chierici, De Brent, C. De Coninck, E. Dubuffe, E. Erroli, J. Lange, I. Leon Y Escosura, and A. Schreyer.
