Philip Anschutz is an American art collector, entrepreneur and financier (invested in stocks, real estate, railroads, oil, telecom, media and entertainment companies).
Anschutz collection is dominated with American Western art with work by Martin Hennings, George Catlin, Ernest L. Blumenschein, Carl Oscar Borg, William Jacob Hays, Victor Higgins, Laverne Nelson Black, Leo Gaspard and others.
Anschutz also owns paintings by Asher B. Durand, Albert Bierstadt, George Caleb Bingham, George Inness, Thomas Moran, Worthington Whittredge, Marsden Hartley, Childe Hassam, Georgia O'Keeffe, Thomas Hart Benton and Jackson Pollock.
