Hugh Ferguson McKean (1908–95), was an art collector, educator (president of Rollins College from 1951-1969), museum director (Morse Museum of American Art, 1945-1995), and artist.
With his wife Jeannette Genius McKean (1908–89, m. 1945), Mckean built the Morse Museum of American Art’s collection.
The collection included work by Louis Comfort Tiffany and French glass makers Gallé, Louis Majorelle, and René Lalique; American pottery, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, sculpture and works on paper from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
