Prominent dealers of Medieval and Renaissance sculpture, the firm was located first on Karlstrasse, later on Lenbachplatz and Briennerstrasse, Munich. Siegfried Laemmle relocated to Los Angeles in 1938 after the Germans confiscated the Munich shop and its contents.
Walter Laemmle joined his father as a partner in the Los Angeles firm.
