Steve Tisch, a film producer and the chairman of the New York Giants, has a sizeable art collection showcased within a private museum tucked away behind his Los Angeles mansion. This 4,500-square-foot mini-museum is a labor of love curated by Michael Govan, the director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Tisch’s collection includes works by Joan Miró, Ed Ruscha, David Hockney, Willem de Kooning, Vik Muniz, Donald Baechler, Arthur Garfield Dove, Glenn Ligon, Vija Celmins, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, Gerhard Richter, Robert Mapplethorpe, John Baldessari, and Georgia O'Keeffe, among others. |
