Robert Bollt was a stock broker (member of the American and New York exchange) and an art collector.
He and his wife, Andriane “Andrea” Bollt (1933–2010), formed an art collection that included work by, among others, Alexander Calder, Franz Kline, Joan Miró, Yves Klein, Philip Guston, Josef Albert, Yves Klein, and Jacques Lipchitz. In addition to collecting their work, the Bollts were personal friends of both Franz Kline and Alexander Calder.
