Andriane “Andrea” Bollt was a classical musician and art collector.
With her husband, Robert Bollt (1927–1984), she formed an art collection that included work by, among others, Alexander Calder, Franz Kline, Joan Miró, Yves Klein, Philip Guston, Josef Albert, Yves Klein, and Jacques Lipchitz. In addition to collecting their work, the Bollts were personal friends of both Franz Kline and Alexander Calder.
Mrs. Bollt left 8 works of art to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition, she left money for the museum’s establishment of the Andrea Bollt Fund (dedicated to maintaining, improving, and expanding the Museum’s Michael C. Rockefeller Collection of Art from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas) in Memory of Robert Bollt, Sr. and Robert Bollt, Jr. (an archaeologist specializing in Pacific archaeology, 1971–2010).
