Kouchakji Frères had locations in Aleppo, Syria, Paris (64 Rue Taitbout), and New York City.
The firm specialized in Syrian, Alexandrian, Roman, and Arabic antiquities. Clients of the gallery included, among others, Louisine Havemeyer (1855-1929), Charles Freer Lang (1854-1919), and Thomas B. Clarke (1848-1931).
In 1929, Fahim Joseph Kouchakji (1886-1976) purchased all of the firm's shares and became the sole proprietor.
Works of art from Kouchakji Freres sold at auction via the American Art Galleries sale in 1912, 1918, 1920, 1927, and 1928.
