historical notes Stephen Longstreet, born Chauncy Weiner (aka Henry Weiner, and Stephen Henri Weiner-Longstreet), was an art collector, critic, author, and artist. He served as a trustee for the Los Angeles Art Association and International World Arts.

Longstreet collected prints by Japanese and Western artists. His collection include work by Katsushika Hokusai, T sh sai Sharaku, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Winslow Homer.
