historical notes Established in 1940, the James Vigeveno Galleries exhibited primarily French and American paintings, as well as Chinese ceramics and works by Dutch and Flemish masters. In 1956, the gallery moved from Los Angeles to Ojai. Paintings from the gallery were exhibited periodically 1957-1964 at the Bel-Air Hotel, Los Angeles, 1957-1964.
