Art collector, surgeon, and medical bibliographer. Kelly and his wife, Sydney Kelly, collected paintings, prints, and decorative arts.
They owned work by, among others, John Francis Murphy, John Taylor Arms, Thomas Hart Benton, Frederico Casteelon, Rockwell Kent, Dorothy Lathrop, Ernest Roth and Stow Wegenroth.
Mrs. Kelly also wrote John Francis Murphy's biography and catalog raisonnés.
