Martha Kellogg Jackson was a collector, dealer, and painter. She operated the Martha Jackson Gallery (located first at 22 E. 66th St. later moving to 32 E. 69th St.) which specialized in modern American and European painting and sculpture, particularly Abstract Expressionists.

Jackson helped many artists including Willem De Konning, James Dine and Antonio Tapies (New York Times,Obit., 7/5/1969). Her son, David Anderson, worked with her and took over the gallery after her death in 1969. He now operates the David Anderson Gallery, 521 W. 57th St.

Her collection was given to the National Museum of American Art in 1981 by her estate.
