Native of Marshall, Texas. Became successful fashion model in New York in the 1940's. She and her husband were collectors of impressionist paintings, drawings, prints, and war memoirs of Winston Churchill, among other collectibles.

Donated entire collection to the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts (1984).
