description | Katia Granoff opened the gallery which bore her name when she arrived in Paris in 1926, running it in association with Rene Lefebure until 1928. The gallery was closed between 1940 and 1946, and subsequently reopened under the name Katia Granoff, until her retirement in 1987, when her nephew Pierre Larock and his family took over and renamed it Galerie Larock-Granoff. It continues its tradition of exhibiting contemporary artists. Among the early artists exhibited here were Marc Chagall, Pierre Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard, Georges Bouche, Othon Friesz, Amédée de la Patellière, Pierre Laprade, and Foujita. |
