Letters to Meisel are from Robert Cottingham, Duane Hanson, Jamie Wyeth, Mel Ramos, Larry Rivers, Richard Estes, Ernest Ruckle, Gahan Wilson, Theodoros Stamos, Don Eddy, Chuck Close, Audrey Flack, Robert Bechtle, John Baeder, Ralph Goings, Tom Blackwell, Anwar Sadat, Ron Kleeman, David Parrish, Robert Hughes, Thomas Messer and Joan Mondale (Mrs. Walter). Also included are illustrated letters from Frances Bull Morley, Mel Shestack and Nebraska Gifford. Writings include a draft of "The World Needs Art, Therefore the World Needs Art Dealers" by Meisel. A subject file includes writings about Gregory Battcock. Photographs are of John Baldessari with Herbert and Dorothy Vogel; Andy Warhol and Elizabeth Taylor.
