These collections have now been dispersed by subject with contributions from numerous sources, including scholars' and dealers' archives, museums, auction houses, and commercial vendors. Scholars' archives include those of Giannino Marchig, Mauro Pellicioli, Wilhelm Arntz, Hans Hildebrandt, Ludwig Goldscheider, and J. G. van Gelder. Dealers' archives provided photographs and clippings from Douwes Fine Art Gallery, Duits and David Koetser. Copy prints were acquired from the Louvre, the Bayerische
Staatsgemäldesammlungen, Sotheby's, Christies, and commercial vendors such as Gernsheim (the Corpus photographicum of drawings), Fratelli Alinari, Photographie Giraudon, and Mario Perotti.
