Biographical/Historical Note:
D. Sala & Zoonen royal suppliers art trade, founded 1785 [1783 according to 'Personalities in the Kingdom of the Netherlands'], in The Hague. Also frame maker, founded in 1825 in Leiden. In the beginning of the twentieth century, Simon Sala established an art shop in The Hague (abolished in 1951) and Henri Sala was in charge of the frame making in Leiden (sold in or shortly after 1935).
