REEL 911: 25 letters from painter C. S. Price [Clayton S.]., 1940-1948, advising Dudensing on paintings sent, acknowledging receipt of payment, suggesting prices, and apologizing for not having work to send.
REEL D22 (fr. 214-217): 2 letters from Henri Matisse, 1947 Feb. 4 and 1930 August 18, both written from Nice. In the first, Matisse thanks Dudensing for the presentation of the exhibition, and expresses his gratitude to Mrs. Dudensing as well. In the second, he announces his return from a long trip to Tahiti, Panama, Martinique, Guadaloupe and the U.S. He plans to return to Paris at the end of the month, and hopes he has a chance to meet up with Dudensing. |
