Includes a tape-recorded interview of Francine Seders conducted by Sally Swenson on August 11, 1974. Covering the years 1960-1974, Seders discusses her art gallery, the artists she represented, art criticism, art in Europe and the United States, and the art collector. She refers to the "Northwest School," the Horiuchi Mural at Seattle Center, the Henry Moore Sculpture at the Seattle 1st Bank, the Robert Maki Sculpture at the Sea-Tac Airport, and the City of Seattle 1% for Art Program.

Biographical Note
Francine Seders (born 1932) was an assistant at the Otto Seligman Gallery in Seattle's University District. After Otto Seligman died in 1966, Seders took over the gallery. In approximately 1974 she changed the name to Francine Seders Gallery and later moved it from the University District to the Greenwood neighborhood. The gallery showed work of artists from the Pacific Northwest, California, and Europe.
