Records of the Böhler and Steinmeyer New York office are not known to have survived.

Historical Notes:
Julius Böhler (Munich was founded ca. 1880. Kunsthandel AG, Böhler and Steinmeyer Lucerne was founded in ca. 1920 and ended with the death of Julius Wilhelm Böhler in 1966. Böhler and Steinmeyer, Inc.
New York was probably founded just after 1920.

The firm continues under the name of Julius Böhler Kunsthandel AG.
