Alice Leffingwell Buell Creelman was an art dealer and collector. She was married to the journalist James Creelman (1859 – 1915, m. Paris, 1891).
Creelman sold several paintings to Henry Clay Frick including the following:
- Titian (Tiziano Vecellio), 1477/1490 – 1576, Portrait of a Man in a Red Cap, 1516 (purchased in 1915)
- Hans Holbein, the Younger, 1497/1498 – 1543, Thomas Cromwell, 1532– 1533 (purchased in 1915)
- James McNeill Whistler, 1834 – 1903, Symphony in Flesh Colour and Pink: Portrait of Mrs. Frances Leyland (purchased in 1917).
- Sir Anthony Van Dyck, 1599 – 1641, Sir John Suckling (purchased in 1918)
Creelman was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York.
Creelman had four children: Edward Dunwoodie Creelman, 1892-1893; James Ashmore Creelman, 1894–1941 (playwright); Constance Alice Creelman, 1898–1982 (husband Harold Wood Huntley 1882–1955); Helen “Eileen” Buell Creelman Davenport, 1902–1975 (motion picture critic, husband Frederick Morgan Davenport Jr., 1900–1976).
