Knodle was a collector and dealer of early American antiques from approximately 1910 to 1950, when the shop closed due to his illness.
Knodle was considered an authority on early Chippendale, Hepplewhite, Sheraton, Duncan Phyfe, and Pennslyvania German furniture.
