Franklin Felix Nicola was a Pittsburgh art collector and real estate developer (Bellefield and Schenley Farms companies). He played a crucial role in the evolution of Oakland area of Pittsburgh, PA.
Nicola collected work by artists from the Barbizon, Dutch and English Schools. His collection included Claude Monet's Waterloo Bridge, Gray Day, 1903, oil on canvas, 1963.10.183, now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
