Jerome Orrell Eddy was the son of the well-known Chicago art collector Arthur Jerome Eddy and Lulu Crapo Orrell, a granddaughter of Michigan Governor Henry H. Crapo. After his mother died in 1931, he inherited his father’s collection, parts of which he sold or donated to museum across the U.S. He acquired the King Ranch in Skull Valley, AZ, which he rechristened the Eddy Ranch, in 1934 or 1935. |
