Juanita “Nita” Greif was born July 16th, 1881. She married Nelson Gutman in 1909. Together they collected books, French posters and works by artists such as Picasso on their frequent trips to Europe. Their poster collection is a particularly important part of the collection of The Baltimore Museum of Art. Mrs. Gutman died September 5th, 1963. Mrs. Gutman’s sister, Lillian Greif, was also a donor to the BMA. |
