Dick collected 18th and 19th Century English sporting paintings. The collection included work by, among others, Henry Aiken Sr. (1785–1851), James Seymour, John F. Herring Sr. (1795–1865), George Stubbs (1724–1806), Ben Marshall (1768–1835),
Dick’s collection was sold in London at Sotheby & Co. in four parts: first, on Oct. 31, 1973; second, on June 26, 1974; third, on April 23, 1975; and fourth, on Apr. 28, 1976.
